I believe that the one I bought was purchased by someone who put 2 cylinders full of the hottest loads he could find through it, said F this, and got rid of it. Nor do I believe that it will hold up well to use like that. It is not the gun to get if you want to go to the range and shoot 500 rounds at a time. With hot loads it is not pleasant to shoot. I do not consider the Charter a range gun. I will throw in something that I also say about my kel-tec p3at's. It is not fully up to a Smith, but I like it much better than the original 44 bulldog I had years ago.
I got it used at a show for $217 out the door. I have a stainless Charter 2000 bulldog pug.
